Welcome Home

March 31st, 2026

Hope, Dignity, and a meaningful step forward.

A Home Built With Purpose.

This home stands as more than just a structure. It represents compassion in action, the power of community, and what can happen when people come together to make a real difference.

On March 31, 2026, the Hessel Family Foundation unveiled Hessel House in Clearwater, Florida, marking the first completed home in a pilot housing initiative designed to support veterans and their families. Developed in partnership with the Community Service Foundation, Team Veteran, and St. Vincent de Paul CARES, this project reflects a shared commitment to creating long-term, stable housing solutions.

A Family’s Fresh Start

The first family to call Hessel House home is the Jaworski family.

After serving in the United States Army, Alexander Jaworski faced ongoing medical challenges that made it difficult to continue his career. Following the loss of a family member and rising living costs, Alexander, his wife Cristina, and their daughter relocated to Florida in search of stability.

During this transition, they experienced housing uncertainty and moved between temporary accommodations before connecting with St. Vincent de Paul CARES through the Supportive Services for Veteran Families program. That connection led to an opportunity to move into Hessel House, providing a stable foundation for their next chapter.

What makes the home different

Built for Strength and Stability
