The Hessel Family Foundation was founded by Robert Hessel, 4th-generation military veteran, devoted father, and CEO of Source 1 Solutions, in response to the challenges faced by his daughter, Mia, who has Autism. Robert’s personal experience has profoundly shaped his commitment to overcoming barriers and fostering inclusivity. Witnessing firsthand the struggles of families with special needs, particularly the lack of sensory-friendly spaces, inspired the foundation’s mission.
